(Madrid, 1991) Celia Viada is a film director and visual artist. She began her film studies at the age of 18, when she directed her first two short fiction films shot in 16mm. She continued her training studying costume design for film and theater at the ECAM where she first explored the video-art format. He graduated in Anthropology and Audiovisual Communication from Goldsmiths University of London and completed a Masters in Creative Documentary at the UPF in Barcelona. His work oscillates between experimental and documentary filmmaking. The themes she addresses tend to explore the images themselves, in many cases using archival footage or found film. The gender perspective is also central to her work and she has approached female characters with strong personality traits.
